So, in order to get them to work together, you’ll first need to update your Zmodo camera to Alexa compatible firmware version. Since Alexa certifies only a select few devices to work with it, you’ll need to see if your is compatible. If the firmware version of your Zmodo camera is below the ones that have been mentioned, you can follow these steps to update the same to the latest version:
- First, launch the Zmodo app on your smartphone.
- Secondly, head to the Live View button and then tap on the Device Settings option from the upper right corner.
- Go to the Device Version screen and then tap on the New Version Available button.
- Here, tap on the Update button on the bottom and the firmware update will begin.
Once the firmware version of your Zmodo camera is updated, you can connect it to Alexa easily.
